HOW DOES IT WORK?
If you're new to the world of used earthmoving equipment, here's a simplified breakdown of how it all works: first we buy used earthmoving equipment, then we rebuild the equipment to the highest standard in one of our fully equipped BLC workshops. After extensive evaluation, repairs and on-site testing, we sell this refurbished equipment to small, medium and large businesses across various industries (like mining, plant hire, construction and government.) Of course, that’s not where our help ends, as we follow up our sales with dedicated aftersales assistance and a lifelong relationship.
OUR FOOTPRINT
At BLC Plant, we are proud to serve clients across the globe, with a reach that extends to Africa, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Asia, North America, and South America. Our expansive global footprint allows us to provide comprehensive solutions to businesses worldwide, delivering high-quality plant equipment, machine parts, and rental services wherever they are needed. With a commitment to excellence and a dedication to meeting the diverse needs of our international clientele, we strive to be the premier choice for companies seeking reliable and efficient solutions on a global scale.
THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING GREAT!
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
In 1978, the world of earthmoving equipment was small. There was nowhere to turn for businesses that didn’t want or couldn’t afford new equipment, and emerging businesses were left on their own with little or no support. But we knew we could help. We founded BLC Plant Company to provide businesses with used earthmoving equipment as well as superior aftersales service that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford. More importantly, we formed relationships that were about more than just a transaction – relationships in which we could help emerging and established businesses grow and expand.
Climbing into the trenches with our clients helped us gain intimate knowledge about starting, running and growing businesses in almost every African country. At the same time, we used this knowledge to adapt our own business so that we could provide even better help to others.
Soon we were able to offer financial support to business owners across Africa who were unable to buy new earthmoving equipment, or even to get their businesses off the ground, since traditional financial institutions had tremendously strict lending requirements that they just couldn’t meet. This further helped our mission of empowering emerging contractors, and opening doors that nobody else could.
Decades later, we are still continually striving to find new ways to help emerging miners and contractors across Africa navigate their way from an entrepreneurial dream to a sustainable reality. And, with over 600 machines in stock, over 450 employees and more than 100 000m2 of workshops and offices, we have more help and support to offer than anyone else.
Future is partnership
To this day, the key to our success remains the same: our relationships. Over decades, it’s what allowed us to help, to learn, to expand, to adapt, to advise and to become Africa’s Leading Earthmoving Equipment Dealer. We’ve helped businesses of all sizes, and formed partnerships that last for years due to our dedicated service, our 24/7 customer support, our extremely rigid production process and our unbreakable dedication to helping businesses grow. It’s what we’ve done for decades past, and it’s what we’ll keep doing for decades to come.
